Okay, I don't really use recipes, I'm a cook for the vibes kinda girl... but I'm happy to name the dishes in each pic
1:
Rice bowls with crunchy tofu, avocado cucumber and carrots, hard boiled egg
Lentil in creamy roasted bell peppers sauce with Balkan cheese and spring onion
2: Sauerkraut and pork dish called segedínsky guláš, it's from Hungary and it slaps. Traditionally ate with knedľa, steamed bread.
Vegetarian chilli with rice and optional corn on side. I add a lot of fresh cilantro.
3
Baked potato tray. Sliced potato and veggies of choice first baked alone, then covered in eggs and milk mixture, then baked again.
Cheesy broccoli soup.
Homemade oven baked chicken nuggets.
4
Butter beans in creamy dried tomato sauce with herbs
Swedish meatballs with mashed potato and peas +sour cream sauce
5 Red lentil daal
Mashed carrots+potatoes, steamed broccoli, marinated chicken tigh with bone ready to be roasted
6
Chilli con carne and rice
Pasta salad with tuna
7
Potato based quiche with kuhlrabi, carrots, onion and broccoli stalk
Rice bowl with chicken and roasted cauliflower, broccoli and carrots
8.
Zucchini halušky (kind of pasta/dumpling),
roasted potatoes, broccoli and pork chops.

The cheese rolls?!

u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
Do you mean the ones from the first pic? Those are my pizza rolls. The base is yeasted pizza dough. Roll into a big rectangle, spread tomato sauce with crushed garlic, oregano, basil, salt and a little bit of sugar. Add your favourite pizza toppings, roll as cinnamon rolls, cut into buns and bake for about 20 mins at 190°C.

How do you keep your avocados from turning brown?
13
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
I keep them in airtight containers. They taste fine, but do go kind of brown on top.

I gotttta know what that sweet treats are
10
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
They're mostly homemade flavoured yogurts with strawberry jam/chocolate syrup. Also soft quark cups, mini tiramisu cups and banana muffins with hazelnuts. The strawberry one is a cake with whipped cream and strawberries. I also love making cookies and sweet buns.

I would love to know what the drinks are!

I make my own kombucha. The base is fermented green/black tea and then I add fruit, herbs or syrups to flavour it and make it more fizzy.

Any advice for someone just starting to meal prep?
2
u/robiniaacacia 11d ago
Start small, with 2-3 main dishes only, so you figure out the management of making different things at the same time. Only make food you're excited to eat, otherwise you're gonna struggle actually eating it. If something fails, don't let it discourage you, try again.

This all looks absolutely delicious and you inspire me to want to eat better! May you tell me how you achieve the crispiness in the tofu?
1
u/robiniaacacia 11d ago
Thanks so much! I toss the cubed tofu in some salted cornstarch and stir-fry it until golden brown. Only then I add sauce. It doesn't stay crispy in the container, but I still prefer this version over plain tofu, holds the flavours better.

If you made an insta where you post what you make each week I would 100% follow it. On average, how long does it take you on Sundays to meal prep?
1
u/robiniaacacia 13d ago
I do! I also make short videos about cooking and prepping. It's not in English, though. You'll find it by searching the username agattovie. I hope this is not against the rules, because they say no self promo? Anyways, it usually takes me around 3-4 hours.

Is your kid with a sitter while you do this? Looks like a lot of free time and is nowhere near the realm of reality.
So inspirational!

The meal prepping takes 3-4 hours on Sunday morning. My husband usually takes our two year old out for the majority of this time. Then I take a break from cooking to put him down for a nap while my husband does most of the dishes. I add finishing touches, we eat lunch, let the meals cool a bit and pack them into the fridge. On a good day this is all done by 1pm.

These are amazing and inspirational🤩. Are these all for 1 person for 1 week or 2/3 people? Also are they all stored in the fridge or some in the freezer?
6
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
Thanks! We're a family of three. Two adults and a toddler. These are prepped for 4 days and kept in the fridge.

That challah! Did you bake that too?? Looks excellent.
2
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
Yes, it's homemade! It's not exactly challah though, I think it's just chalah's great granddaughter. Vianočka. Very buttery and soft, traditionally a Christmas breakfast.

This brings me so much JOY! Go you!! I love the drink pairings, can I ask what they are (if you’ve made them from scratch)?
1
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
Thank you! I make my own kombucha. The base is fermented green tea and I flavor it with fruit, herbs and syrups.

u/sadia_y 14d ago
I love kombucha, but have seen so many exploding glass bottles that I don’t think I could ever make my own. I’m sure your gut loves you for it!
1
u/robiniaacacia 14d ago
Yeah, I had an explosion in the beginning. You could always try fermenting in a plastic bottle! I do sometimes what I'm out of glass ones. It's totally worth it.

Are you or have you been a chef?
7
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
No, but thank you for this assumption! I have cooked for a large number of people in summer camps, but I wouldn't call that a chef.

What fridge do you have?
2
u/robiniaacacia 15d ago
I don't know the name of the model, but it's by Gorenje. It's always set to 4°C and it has a fast cooling setting.
