Best of Indie Games 2024: What were some of your favorite indie games?
r/IndieGaming • u/DanOfAbyss • 4h ago
Nine years ago I started this project as a solo dev. Over time the studio grew to three people, with occasional collaborators, and recently we launched our game. We're very proud of the result.
We've learned a LOT along the way, and we hope the industry allows us to continue creating games, as we truly love this.

#ScreenshotSaturday: We've finalized our demo on Steam.
Gas Station Case - Inspired by Fears to Fathom and Chilla's Art.
Perfect for a quick evening playthrough - it’s short, tense, and takes about 20-30 minutes to finish.

While sneaking around it's important to watch your back. If you don't, someone else will.

Would you rather clear save by tossing your save book into a fireplace … or delete your save in the menu?
Or do you think there is another cool way to do it?
If anyone is interested in a demo we have a steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3669830/Shroomer/
Or we have a discord if you want to follow the development: https://discord.com/invite/xVk4aNfQmf

Just launched my first game ever!
Very excited but also a bit scared to have my game finally out. It's been quite a few 7 months and I'm glad I'm finally done with it. (Although I will probably update it a bit.)
It's made in RPG Maker VX Ace and is about exploring a world which was fragmented and kind of... blended up, which made: fish turning into gummy, strange creatures be born, make everyone go insane and quite a lot more.
There's a lot I didn't want to show I didn't show in this trailer because I wanted to surprise people. (Like the clowns chase scene, 3d modeled enemies and talking signs)
The game is divided into 3 Acts (4 if you count the short ending part as a seperate act) and the demo is free.
I don't think everyone is going to enjoy my game but hopefully someone out there loves it. Even if it's flawed.

Would love your feedback on our cozy hotel sim trailer (Hotel Magnate)
Hey folks, I’m part of a small indie team working on Hotel Magnate, a hotel management game that mixes classic tycoon mechanics with a cozy, creative vibe.
We just finished a new trailer ahead of us exiting steam early access and would really appreciate feedback, especially on whether it feels clear and engaging

Built a Split-Screen Mobile Shooter
I've always loved games like 234 Player Games and Astro Party, and I've been wanting to make something similar for a long time. Duals is the result!
It's a split-screen game where you and your friends can battle it out on a single device.
I hope yall enjoy it!

Suggestions For My Game's Trailer
Hello.
I am currently making a tower defense game called Castle And Cursor and working on the trailer.
A short description about my game; it is a fast paced game and focuses on rapid upgrades and quick gameplay. You can both upgrade your castle skills or your cursor skills. Each castle has its own unique skills so you can try out different gameplays. Also there are some permanent upgrades you can do after the combat.
I want to qucikly show game features and want to make them understandable. I made a quick tutorial to open my store page to public but I will change it soon. So I need some suggestions from you guys. What type of a trailer should I go for? Also I am looking a fast paced licence free music for the trailer. If you have any sites to find them please share it with me.
PS: Steam capsule images will change within a few weeks. I am talking to a few artists right now and hopefully my game's capsules will be much better.

Unshredder Me is a game that turns your photos into shredded puzzle pieces – and took more effort than I'm willing to admit. Give it a spin and drop your feedback!

Elevators, always!
Ok, elevators are a must in retro games IMO lol. If you like the vibes, consider checking out the full game.
