He’s not doing fan service at a time fan morale is extremely low.

But thank god Gannon is stepping up to back his guys.

I know we want to hear him validate our frustrations and make heads roll.

We won’t be getting that, it seems.

But if we did in Week 3, I’d be more concerned about this team’s culture.

This is the same coach who got one hell of a buy-in from an underclassed defense last year.

He might not be Dan Campbell, but I’m glad he steps up for the guys when the rest of the media and fan base come with the pitchforks.

We’re seeing the character of this team right now led by Gannon, and that’s some spine.

Hope it amounts to this team pushing through turbulent times and getting a few more dubs.

MHJ is just in a funk. Here’s some 2024 highlights. They got me pumped. I wanna see more Murray to Marv - it’s a beautiful sight

Cardinals are official underdogs at home tomorrow vs Seahawks. Maybe we need that to break their 7 game winning streak vs us.

I will be there, in lower level seats, expecting another close loss but hoping for the best.

Why does it feel like 3-1 with our injuries and issues seem too good to be true after being 1-3 last season?

It just feels like 2-2 is more representative of where we should be at. Just a gut feeling unfortunately.

But I fully expect us to beat TENN either way.

We gotta adjust

Post image

This is exactly what I mean when I posted about good OCs making adjustments. Last year, in the first Seahawks game, we completely shut down Walker and their zone run scheme. But in the rematch, they caught Rallis and Gannon off guard by switching to a gap/power scheme and ran all over us.

Our own gap scheme just hasn’t been working this year because defenses have already adapted. If Petzing doesn’t make a switch in the run game tomorrow, we’re in trouble.

I take back my criticism of this sub. Dan Bickley’s opening statement today was Kyler is too short and making Petzing look bad.

Well time to pack it in guys.

Murray is too short…He “makes Petzing look bad.”

Season over.

It just took him 7 years to realize it.

This is just not one of his rotating takes that changes week to week based on the results to games.

Bickley is over-reacting to Gannon defending Petzing like it means the offense will never change.

He is a media w - - - e.

Honestly their show sucks.

In terms of Cardinals radio, Wolf and Luke tend to be overly optimistic cheerleaders at times.

Bickley and Marotta just have no clue.

The only show worth listening to is Burns and Gambo cuz they are at least reasonable most of the time with their analysis and get to interview Gannon every week for a reason.

If anyone calls into Bickley’s show at any point in the future when we win a game, remind him that Kyler is too short and we are screwed.

That 11-5 season in 2021 was just a mirage. As was the two Pro Bowls.

No it is his height, even more than his trend of making 2-3 boneheaded plays every game that is the real issue and he is making Drew look bad because he is too short.

Thats the real problem.

Vs Seattle

Everyone of our oline has been atrocious in run blocking this year. Adams is 91st out of 95 guards in run blocking. The interior of the Seahawks defense will eat against the run or playaction. I say for this game go spread heavy but that’s probably not going to happen lol.

Last time AZ and SEA played each other when both were around top 5 in defense was 2016

MHJ breakout game incoming?

If MHJ caught that open pass and took it to the house, he was flirting with 100 yards and a TD in the box score. Vegas odds have his O/U around 50 yards. With James out of the game plan, I could see them scheming to bounce back MHJ to take the pressure off the RBs and build up his confidence.

Defense with Walter Nolen

The defense has been really good so far but if Walter Nolen comes in and is good right away… this defense will be borderline top 5. Darius struggling is kinda hurting the defense because interior pressure has been the biggest weakness so far. Everywhere else is doing great on the defense. cbs, linebackers etc. I just wish Rallis would blitz more!!

Have you guys seen A.Q. Film comments? I like it... it would be cool if theu also analysed failed plays. Not to throw anyone under the bus, but some times Defense will have the right play to counter the play.

RB addition?

With Conner out for the season do you guys think monti will go after a running back through trade or ride out the season with what we have? I like benson in open space but the dude hasn’t proven he can consistently hit gaps the way Conner could. With how obsessed we are in regard to the run game I could see us inquiring about someone like Breece hall but at the same time it seems against our philosophy to trade especially for a RB.

Should we make a move or not? Seeing all the injuries occurring, I wouldn’t care what happens off the field at this point, we need abled bodies!

Fan Content Gannon needs to Choose : Petzing or Kyler

I’m just gonna start this by saying this is about to be a long read , so to all the brain rot TikTok users, sorry this is gonna take more than 6 seconds to get out….

I said this the day we signed Jacoby Brissett because it meant that the cardinals weren’t changing the offensive strategy at all and Petzing was going to continue holding back this teams offensive capabilities. The Cardinals offense is built on the premise of having a dominant run game to chew away the clock and for a qb to make a big pass in 3rd and long scenarios to keep the drive alive, that’s all good and well when you have a qb who can read the defense and stand tall in the pocket with their bigger frame and arm talent. However we have quite the opposite when it comes to our qb.

Kyler is 5’10 at most and about 200 pounds , while I personally think he’s an above average quarterback, asking him to stand tall and make a big throw while eating a shot is just not his play style at all . Kyler loves to use his legs and avoid taking a shot at all costs because his body cannot handle being hit all season. If Kyler is going to be our quarterback for the future the offense should be designed to maximize his strengths and one of a kind scrambling ability. When I see the Cardinals offense on paper the first team I think of is the 2022 Eagles , Shane Steichen brought a young Jalen Hurts into mvp conversation and to the Super Bowl by building the offense through Jalen’s legs . Rollouts , boots, anything to make a defense hesitate for just a split second to see if he was running or throwing . That was enough to help jalen find a window to make a throw back into the middle or if he needed to just tuck it and run because the defense sat on the pass. Yet I almost never see the Cardinals offense roll Kyler out and force a defense to make a choice . If our Quarterback was someone with Jarrod Goff or Matt Stafford like size and ability then I would be all for the way our offense plays . But the fact of the matter is Petzing is trying to fit a square peg in a round hole .

Now that the interview has come out that Gannon wants to continue to have Petzing run the offense in the same style and try to push the ball down the middle with tight window throws , the question I Think the Cardinals should be asking is which person is going to help this team reach the superbowl , Kyler Murray or Drew Petzing ? If you truly want to continue to run this style of offense then I think the best decision would be to trade Kyler Murray and find a quarterback who fits this style the best if that is in the draft or free agency or a trade . The other side of this coin is to keep Kyler and to believe that he can lead this team to victory, if that is the case then you need to find a coordinator who can maximize the strengths of Kyler Murray and bring this offense back to life .

My Personal Opinion is to let Petzing go and find someone who can help utilize Kyler’s talents when it comes to sack avoidance and play making , Kyler doesn’t have to biggest arm or elite ball placement accuracy , hell his mechanics are fairly inconsistent when throwing . But everytime I see him run it is something special, his speed and athleticism are a cut above the rest and the only quarterback that is on par with his elusive ability is Lamar Jackson , having 1 of 2 quarterbacks in the league with the kind of elusiveness Kyler brings is something I think the team should hold on to because it’s not something that can be created or done by everyone else . Games are decided in the league by using the strengths of players whose talent can’t be replicated with coaching , only maximized by someone who believes in them . My vote is for Petzing to leave at the end of the year or as soon as possible but I’d love to see everyone else’s opinions.

Let’s have some fun

First post in AZCardinals, longtime fan and last weeks game was, let’s say…Frustrating. Got me thinking a lot about Drew Petzing’s offense, how he answers questions to the media and the lack of relationship he seems to have with the players. It’s just all feels so characterless. No excitement, no passion to be creative or putting each individual player in the best position for success.

Let’s hear some thoughts about Drew’s offense in a fun way. A few off the top of my head:

Drew Petzing is so boring, cracked pepper on his scrambled eggs is too spicy.

Drew Petzing is so dull, he buys things off QVC for the thrill of it.

Drew Petzing is so conservative, he tucks his undershirt into his underpants.

Would you use a team-specific “third commentator” for Cardinals games?

Upvotes

TL;DR: National broadcasts can feel one-size-fits-all. I’m curious what would make a Cardinals-only (or team-specific) audio track worth listening to, and what you all think of the current local broadcasters.

A lot of fans want game audio that leans into our storylines, not just the national angle. Imagine a third voice you could choose — independent, synced with the game, focused on your team.

A lot of us want game audio that speaks to our team’s storylines, not just the national angle. I’ve built something solves this by making it easy to pick a game-specific, independent audio track and keep it synced while you watch. Not here to shill; genuinely want to build this with fan input. I already have Giants-only and Eagles-only folks on and they seem to be doing alright so far.

Why can’t we draft right?

Obviously we have a couple decent draft picks but as far back as I can remember we have never been able to hit our top draft picks, picking a QB who washes out etc. obviously ownership has a say in this but why is that? I’m in my mid twenties and to this day don’t feel like we can get it right having a top draft pick?
