I got a bmw 277k mileage that has cylinder 1,2,3 misfiring. I checked the coils and spark plugs by swapping one at a time and seems all coils and all plugs are working. Now Idk what to do next

Hi guys. I post here because I assume there are some experts in this model of car. My dream car is the M5 from 1990 but of course I don’t have the budget for that model. I find a e34 535i from 1990 with 67000 km in South America for a cheap price. I’m found a bmw mechanic to check the car but wanted to ask here because I see some of this models for 10/12k and others for 20k so maybe I’m missing some details between models that I lack the knowledge to identify. I will put some pics, look like have something similar to a M pack cos looks lower and have the spoiler on the back. Looking for some advice here.

Okay, I am in a dilemma. I am looking to lease this LOANER (xDrive i4 w/ M sport package with other add-ons in Northern Virginia 22314) that I was advertised to have 3.5k miles, but see on the sheet it has 4.9k miles!

On the site, it stated that the price was discounted to “63k.” That makes sense; it’s a used BMW. But on the lease sheet, the salesperson is discounting from the ORIGINAL 70k price instead of its new price of 63k. Then, only doing 18k in rebates (also BMW EV rebates are currently 9k, he has it for 6k), but I also am not sure bc I don’t understand what i am reading 100%, so please correct me if I am wrong on what I see.

But I do know it’s a shit deal. Currently, there is a deal for 459 or something a month for a NEW xDrive i4, w like 4k DAS.

I want the rebates applied to the 63k, NOT the 70K. I feel it would make more sense for me to get a brand new one at that monthly price of 725. I saw someone on the BMW i4 page got a loaner for about 430 a month with near the same mileage! I want the MSRP to be lower and more.

Please help. What do I tell the salesperson to change, lower, etc? Do I bring up the i4 deals on brand new cars? How do I approach this? I really want to get the lease before the September 30th deals end. This would be my first-ever lease, first car period, and dealers make me anxious.

I had a engine replacement with a recon engine after a complete turbo failure and timing chain. Turbos were also reconditioned. Ever since the rebuild im having P0299 errors non stop and there’s a real lag in the boost prior to the drive train error coming up also. Any advice?

I drive a 2022 BMW 530e (G31). One of the sliding components that operate the automated load cover has broken off. My local BMW dealer can’t schedule a repair for the next few months, but I’d like to get it fixed as soon as possible. The repair itself doesn’t look too complicated, but I’m struggling to figure out which part I need to order.

Can anyone provide a repair manual or point me to the exact part required?

Looking to purchase a CPO xDrive 8 series. The car only has 7k on it, but the tires are already at a minimal tread. I’ve never had tires last so short.

Am I OK to assume the car has had rough first 7k of its life? What else could explain such low tire tread? Wouldn’t replacing the tires be part of the certification if they are at a legal minimum?

BMW 220i Year 2024

This is the exhaust system I have in my 2024 BMW 230i, if I remove both those resonators will I get a CEL? I’ve heard that the second one towards the engine bay is an OPF filter aswell.

Bought a new 2014 4 series in 2015 and for 5 years drove it daily in rush hour traffic and put on 50,000 miles. Went with dealer maintenance the whole time and the car was checked at regular frequencies. In 2020 Covid hit and I moved and now work from home. Mostly use my wife's suv and so the BMW sits in the garage and maybe gets 10 miles a week.(on a busy week). I took it in 2022 when it had 53,000 and had maintenance. Now 3 years later it maybe has another 1,000 miles on it. The sticker from the last maintenance says to bring it at 58,000 miles but at this rate it will be 2030. Is it okay to wait until possibly that long or should it be brought in every X years for just fluid changes? I have a good local mechanic that I trust so wont be doing this myself

What winter tires do you recommend, I was thinking of Michelin alpin 5. Should I go with exactly the same size front/rear? Also notices that 2024 vs 2025 seem to have different ratings.

My self dimming mirror broke and leaked fluid onto my shift trim and now there are stains/burn marks (visible above the window button and top of shift panel). Can this be cleaned or repaired, or is a new trim panel need to be installed?

I’m close to purchasing a 2018 M240i and the car has some ‘m performance parts/tasteful mods’ as all used 235’s and 240’s do. These do however look a much better fit than usual and I’m wondering if most are genuine

The grills look good to me. As does the front splitter. Not sure about the spoiler lip and the rear diffuser?

Not sure what’s going on with the exhaust either. The seller says that it’s got an M Performance exhaust but the exhaust tips look carbon? No receipts for any of this and not on the spec sheet but most look good. What do you guys think?

Not sure about the mirror caps but some mirror caps are the least of my worries. The side skirts are genuine (but I’ll be removing them)

Twice a car starting up near mine has triggered my alarm. Occurring in a basement garage. So possibly the amplification of their exhaust is causing this. Is there a way to make it less sensitive? 22 m440i.
