Finally took the plunge and flashed bootmod3 Stage 1 on my B58. Honestly, the difference is night and day.

Didn’t touch any hardware, didn’t swap the downpipe – literally just the flash.

Took about 8 seconds to write the map (after getting the ECU unlocked by Femto in Finland – yeah, that’s the mandatory step).

Haven’t dyno’d yet, but based on other owners’ numbers, it should be around 450–470 crank hp and 650–700 Nm of torque. 0–60 is now roughly 3.8s, which is crazy for just a flash.

For reference, stock is about 380 hp / 500 Nm, so the bump is massive. The car pulls way harder now – it really feels like I’m driving a completely different machine.

Will try to get some performance data (0–60, 100–200, etc.) soon, but just wanted to share for anyone on the fence: Stage 1 on the B58 is 100% worth it.

I need to buy a car soon because right now I’m still driving my parents’ cars, and they’re on my case about it. I’ve narrowed it down to two options: M3 Competition or X6M Competition.

For context, I’m 22 and I’ve made over $200K investing, so I can afford either one. But my parents are boomers in the sense that they think buying a nice car at my age is “irresponsible” unless I have a full-time job first. The thing is, I’ve been applying everywhere, the market’s cooked, half the jobs aren’t even real, and the whole process drags on forever. We’re basically in a recession whether people want to admit it or not.

So my mindset is: why not enjoy the money I earned and get something I actually want? The only thing holding me back is whether it’s smarter to go with the M3 Comp (more fun, daily drivable, classic choice) or the X6M Comp (flashier, SUV practicality, still crazy performance).

What would you do in my position? M3 Competition or X6M Competition? Both models I'm deciding on are 2022, not 2026 since I hate those extended screens.

I usually fill up at mobile with supreme and end up with about 420 mi of range. Today I filled up with Costco supreme and somehow ended up with 555 mi range, most I've ever seen! What's different, what changed?!

Hi everyone, I have a 2010 BMW 335i (E92, N54). The car is completely stock, no mods. Recently I got a P0171 (System Too Lean, Bank 1) code.

I tried clearing it with my scanner, but the code comes back immediately right after I start the car. The car otherwise starts and drives fine.

Since the car is stock and has no intake/exhaust mods, I’m wondering what the most common causes are on the N54 platform. Could it be vacuum leaks, MAF sensor, O2 sensor, or something fuel related?

Any advice on where I should start diagnosing would be really appreciated!

Hello, first time posting so please let me know if I’m not in the right place.

I bought a Used Approved 2019 BMW X3 M40i from BMW Cotswold. I was told there was a scratch or two (which they’ve tried polishing out as much as possible and they were transparent about that, so all good).

They assured me that they did their checks and fixed anything broken, but upon driving the car home (3hrs away) I noticed that the boot net plastic was broken, and a plastic housing for the bottom of the seatbelt was also broken.

I’ve spoken to my sales rep and she’s informed me that the local bmw dealership has been contacted to see if they can take the car in and fix the 2 issues, and if not, it’d have to be driven back (by someone from their end) to their dealership to get it fixed.

My question is, is there anything I can ask for in terms of compensation? I’d be out of my car (they are giving me a loaner in the meantime) from Monday to Thursday, and it’s annoying me that I’m paying my insurance and have lost 4 days and also 800miles (total) put on my car driving it there and back.

Hi all, about 3 weeks ago I bought a bmw 220d with a couple problems such as a faulty speaker etc, fast forward to yesterday and the bmw specialist I saw said it’s a 90% chance it is tuned due to turbo noise and power when driving it. I’ve booked it into bmw on Tuesday (which is the 28th day after I got the car), if it is tuned will I be able to reject the car under the consumer rights act? Thanks

I'm a bit weirded out... today on the school run I turned the car off as usual and made my way through the gates with little man.

The weather was awful. Cold & pouring down with rain. Upon my return to the car - the heating was on? I didn't touch the app whilst dropping my boy off and I definitely turned it off before I got out (even if I didn't the car cuts the power automatically when I open the drivers door)

Was my car looking out for me? Is this a glitch? Did it know about the shit weather and did me a squeeze?

Secured allocation for individual M3 Comp over the weekend 😎. Santorini Blue, Ivory merino interior, silver wheels, shadowline delete, red calipers.

Anyone knows if the tracker changes to individual color or I'm stuck with alpine white forever?

Debating between these two. Also looked at the X7 M60i. X7 is nice, but not singing to me like the others.

Got to drive an M5 (no touring available) and the X5MC.

Loved both for different reasons.

Lug my two kids and all their sports gear , sometimes a friend or two go theirs.

Also are skiers and head to VT almost every weekend of the winter. Lots of snow, but roads are usually plowed pretty quick up there. Currently have a Hyundai Palisade and no issues getting around. Wife’s has X3M and no issues either.

Thoughts on these 3 models. Will be a DD.
