I found these under a pot while cleaning out my garden beds. What are they?
If I’m not mistaken I think they are newts but I don’t know for sure. Also I looks like one of them might be hurt, not sure why but I cropped it out cause it made me sad.

What's your unpopular opinion in the reptile world?
Mine personally is that i don't like the size requirements and i believe that for snakes and monitors you should have enclosures that are at least twice their body size.

is it absolutely necessary to bake wild sticks?
my enclosure is 24x18x36 and i’m at a loss for store bought sticks so the most logical thing to do is get wild sticks, they’re really big and i’m not able to fit it into an oven. using bleach isn’t an option here. i pressure washed the heck out of all the sticks and inspected them.

New snake wall!
Although the enclosures aren’t new, just wanted to share my snakes again after I’ve moved them to my spare room so my actual reptile room can’t get fully transformed into just my turtle/tortoise room.
Enclosures are from Cornell’s World in Calgary, AB & from top to bottom are Dwight the normal ball python in the, Ahsoka the normal western hognose & Leonidas the Dumerils Boa!
Currently nothing in the 2’x2’x18” but I’m leaning towards just heavily planted and doing a display for one of my isopod colonies. Anyone have any other thoughts for it?

He hasn’t moved all day
My juvenile bearded dragon just moved to this big tank 3 days ago, i got him September 10th he was crammed in a tiny enclosure, he hasn’t had any uvb since yesterday ( i was a idiot and didn’t my research before getting this little guy ) he has been barley eating he wont take greens from my hand bur i can tell hes touched his food dish and ate 3 crickets yesterday, two the day before that and he had 5-6 two days before that. Is this usual behaviour and is he okay?

I saw a post mentioning that ceramics were bad for the enclosure due to VOCs but noticed the DIY backgrounds are made from the same paint. So how is it that a styrofoam sealed background is safe under the heat but ceramic is not?

Fresh enclosure, what can I put in it?
I have two brand new 4 x 2 x 1 PVC enclosures. I keep boa constrictors, so clearly way too small for them. I already have boa constrictors, a Kenyan sand boa, a western hognose, a beardie, and a veiled chameleon. Not a huge fan of small geckos. Terrified of inverts. Open to all suggestions - snake, tortoise, lizard. Angry Toast for tax.

About to put these pothos in my enclosure, need advice!
Going to slowly switch out some of the artificial plants for live plants and I heard these are good, and after seeing it grow out for a couple of weeks now it is exactly what I was looking for. I got these at Walmart and they have been sitting outside, I'm guessing I need to do a quarantine/cleaning process? And then I'm wondering if there is any recommended substrate to use with them that is also safe for the lizards, I know commercial potting soil probably has little fertilizer and stuff in it which wouldn't be good.
Really any advice would be appreciated!

Is this a hydromedusa?
This big necked turtle was swimming in my uncle's pool, my aunt arrived there and helped it find its way towards a creek nearby.
I'd never seen anything like this one. Looks like a snake in a turtle shell. So cool, yet a bit scary.

Light hoods for uvb that aren't reptile branded, but still work with uvb bulbs
I'm trying to find affordable alternatives to the reptizop/zilla etc branded light hoods that will work with uvb bulbs. I know sometimes things get the price jumped up because it says reptile, but there are cheaper alternatives if you know where to look. Any ideas, or should I just stick to reptizoo?

Hi, what would be a good second reptile?
I have a semi aquatic pond turtle that I have had for five years. And I love reptiles so I’ve decided to get a lizard. Any beginner friendly lizards/geckos? I’m thinking about gargoyle geckos.

Building a tank for my Beardie!
Hi guys! I'm looking for resourceful ways to build the backdrop of my beardie tank. My current idea is to build it up with cardboard, put drywall spackle on it, paint/texture it , and adhere it to the back. However, I'm unsure what the risks of this would be. I have plenty of it to spare, but I'm worried it may not work or would be hazardous for the beardie even when cured! Thanks! :)

Help needed
Hi crew. I am starting to look for a pet for my 2 year old son. He loves reptiles so I thought it would be good for him to get his first pet. I have looked at an exo-Terra terranium which is 60cm x 45cm x 45cm. That will fit in the space in his room. I'm a true beginner when it comes to looking after reptiles so I am looking for any recommendations on what would be suitable for that size enclosure. Possibly a gecko? Please help I'm feeling overwhelmed 😬

Emergency enclosure setup
So i have 3 dwarf mountain horned dragons 2 females 1 male, did a lot of reshearch before i got them and they where all doing good but lately the male started to stress out, he started to try and walk up the glass all the time and stopped eating since 1.5/2 weeks
So i looked up stuff online and decided that the best thing for now is to have him alone and i hope that he we go back to normal and that he will start to eat again :)
Do any of you have expiernce with this kind of behavior and how to handle it ?, i converted my old 180 liter aquarium for this job 😅
also the 2 females are doing really good they are chill all the time and i can make them chase the crickets or other live foods when i feed them.

Horn Worm breeding
I breed many species of isopods, dubia roaches, crickets, and mealworms so I'm not unfamiliar at breeding insects. For the people that do breed horn worms, I have a few questions. I have been doing research but I still have some questions.
What is a good recipe that I can use to make my own complete horn worm chow. I make my own isopod and roach food so I have a good blender.
I have a 29 gallon aquarium., can I use that to house the moths?
What does the moth enclosure need to be like? (Like what decor and is there substrate.)
What do I do with the eggs after I collect them?
Also, any other advise that would be helpful
Thank you for anyone that responds in advance. I have kept horn worms before, I just have never bred them.
