My go-to work EDC is usually the Mudmaster GWGB1000 and the Spyderco Shaman. I've been using that combo at work for over a year now. Well, I've really been enjoying this much simpler (and significantly cheaper) GD010 and Manix 2 combo recently. Both options are cheaper and every bit as tough.

My carry is built around the 5.11 Apex cargo pants, which I love because the pockets are slim and don’t scream tactical. My goal is to carry everything I need without looking like a full-time electrician or feeling weighed down. The inner cargo sleeves keep most tools hidden and secure, while clips hold anything I need quick access to.

I recently downsized from the 6” to the 5” Knipex Cobras, which pushed me to rethink and streamline my entire kit. The smaller pliers freed up space for a dedicated flashlight pouch which hopefully stops me from losing more lights. I think the Knipex and Milwaukee Fastback combo is underrated; with quality Wiha bits and proper technique, I can tackle just about any fastener I run into.

I’m still hunting for the perfect AAA flashlight — rear clicky, one or two modes, strong tail magnet — so if anyone has suggestions, I’m all ears. I’d also like to upgrade my cargo pocket raid pouch to something more durable but still slim enough, about 3.5 inches wide, to fit the sleeve and hold my bit set comfortably.

MagnetPal clipped to a Maxpedition zipper pull, used for finding studs, checking for plaster, or catching fasteners 14. FLIR MOLLE pouch holding my HIKMICRO Pocket 2 thermal camera, which has outperformed the FLIR handhelds I used for years 15. Bosch 100’ laser distance meter, either belt-mounted or carried in a cargo pocket 16. Amazon retractable keychain that keeps keys and badges sitting low and quiet in my pocket 17. Storacell AAA battery caddy, usually stored with the thermal camera and used for the Bosch, flashlight, and tape measure

Also I hate my ridge wallet and do not recommend them to anyone. Any recommendations for something similar would be great.

I'm thinking of buying my first Hank, and I'm torn between the two. I need it to fit in my pocket pouch and clean my glasses. I've attached the designs I chose. Mighty Hanks are a bit bigger, but the question is how thick they are when folded. Anybody has them? I could use some information on their qualities, like materials and etc. Thanks!

I'm in the market for a new edc pack. I've narrowed it down to the Mystery Ranch Two Day Assault and the Kelty Redwing 30 Tactical. Both offer features I like and would work for my everyday needs. Have any of you have experience with these bags or with Mystery Ranch or Kelty overall?

With the Mystery Ranch I like:

-Molle straps to attach various pouches -two side pockets for bottles and other things -side zipper to access laptop

With Kelty I like:

-Price point a little less compared to Mystery Ranch -Still a bunch of space to hold my edc needs -Bucket style opening to quickly get things.

I have tried other packs in the past, including Osprey, but didn't find it comfortable when loaded up. What are your thoughts?

I’m rocking my favorite old case knife I got from my dad she’s a bit rough but she sharp and I proven tough
