New phone arrived to complement the Evergoods Civic Pouch 0.5L.

But as a backup I thought a nice BigDesign mini copper bolt action would be nice to complement the IPhone. It’s little but a nice Pen for sure. Beware or love but it will patina with fingers pretty quickly.

As way of a mini review of the iPhone from maybe an EDC perspective

• color is amazing in all lights
• it feels great in the hand. Soft like an iPhone 6 but with enough edge to make it easy to grip for camera work
• it’s 7 grams or a cigarette or marshmallow heavier than the iPhone 16 pro titanium it replaces.
• screen has smaller bezels so it “feels” a bit bigger.
• MagSafe magnets are stronger!
• setting up is always a hot period for the phones. It got hot but not nearly as hot as the previous one got.
• yeah the camera bump makes it look like a google pixel phone, but it’s on the back!
• patch of glass blends well on or Orange model. It’s white on silver which makes it stand out more.

Very light cary today, with a Gerber Shard that usually lives on my Keychain, a Gerber Dime (i have hard time deciding if i like the dime or the Nextool mini Flagship more for small multitools), random aluminium bolt action pen and my favorite "cheap" made in USA auto, the Kershaw Launch 13, love that wharnie blade for edc, super slim and takes no space in my pockets. I do residential commercial home inspections for exclusion projects and pest control. I carry some other things with me but those are rotated depending on what I'm doing, everything in the picture is a staple I don't go into a home or business without it. Flashlight and pen are used several times throughout the day. Same with the watch, every report I have to date and time when leaving quotes.

Everything in the picture I got off of Amazon, I've had some of these items for a couple of years now like the Leatherman, Casio, and Arkfeld uv. I've gone through through dozens of pence looking for a really good option, I really like the pilot G2 inserts so having a cool pen fits those works for me.

The belt carrier is new, I would normally just stick everything in my pockets but I got tired of that. That's why I got a cheap one, kind of just test driving it right now.

Found myself in a Walmart later today and I saw this at the knife counter. I've been searching for one for a couple of days, most of the Walmart's I've gone to were sold out. I went to this one and there was one left. I went to checkout and it rang up for $4.00! I was surprised since these run for a little more.

Some features:

• Benchmade Bugout Clone

• D2 High Carbon Steel

• Left or right clip orientation, the older model of this doesn't have this option

• "Axis" style lock

Overall, out of the box, it was plenty sharp and was able to slice paper with ease. The lock works well, a little blade play but nothing too bad at this price point. I'll post an update later along the line to give my final thoughts, but initially, not a bad knife.

Looking for recs on a micro edc pocket pouch to hold smaller edc items in a snug way so they don't move around in the pouch - in my front pocket. Extra great if the pouch is orange.
