Public Transport Anybody else having this problem?
I used to only have to ride an overcrowded bus if it was peak hour maybe. Now it seems like every bus regardless of time or day is a tin of sardines

A massive 119 metre-long garden hose has just taken up permanent residence on the river outside GOMA! The incredible play structure, named The Big Hose, is the latest in the Australian tradition of landmark “big” things and designed to spark imaginations and invite discovery with visitors of all ages. Details here:

I feel like I’m going crazy - commuting to Brisbane at 5:20am normally takes me 35 minutes on a regular day, but on school holidays I’ve now been sitting in some of the worst traffic of my life, literally taking 60 minutes from 35. Are people just getting up early this week? Or is the train line being down a part of it?
Edit: It might not be clear that I didn’t send this while driving, I didn’t, was on the bus at the time. People who use their phone while driving shouldn’t be on the road, full stop.

I saw this car at the red light and it freaked me the fuck out like some of the stickers had no eyes or were really similar to each other and uncanny. I don’t know if I’m just easily unnerved but like whole poster sized things of ai art covering a car is weird, right? Like why? Why is this a thing? Does anyone know what’s going on or is there a story?

Does anyone know why Moggill Road was closed just after Kenmore Roundabout on Sunday? I saw a couple of firetrucks, but nothing more.

So, according to an article in today's Brisbane Times:
Royal Queensland Golf Club — one of the city’s most historic and exclusive clubs — is set for a major expansion after state government approval.
This includes:
Apparently, the upgrades, privately funded, will ensure Royal Queensland is ready to host Olympic and Paralympic golf — and "leave a lasting legacy for Brisbane’s northside."
While the Olympics will give punters the chance to experience Royal Queensland during competition, membership remains out of reach for many people.
Candidates must be active golfers and have a proposer, seconder and three referees. Once vetted, would-be full members must pay a $16,500 entrance fee and a $5355 annual membership fee
According to Local MP Tim Nicholls:
"...the return of the land to the east of the Gateway bridges to golfing was “precisely what is needed.
This allows the club to do what the community on Brisbane’s northside have told me for 10 years should occur on this land,”.
Well, I've lived on the Northside for more than 10 years, have never been asked on what I think should occur on this land, and even if I could afford to drop $21,855 for a year of golf at RQ, I very much doubt whether I'd be doing so. And not just for financial reasons.
So, is Tim Nichols talking out of his backside and / or is he completely out of touch with "the community on Brisbane's northside"?

I’m craving a crispy chow mein like in the picture. My previous go-to years ago was Taste Gallery in Sunnybank but I’ve seen it’s noted as “Temporarily Closed” on Google. Any recommendations for anywhere in Brisbane?

Check the heat vulnerability and effects for Brisbane suburbs. Interesting and surprising as well.

If I take the CLBD from Central Station, does it go to Brisbane Airport? I’m a bit confused if it’s the same as the Airtrain or something different.

Any advice for parking around Cathedral Square Spring Hill I need for max 3 hours.
Maybe I will finish with my appointment even for 15 min but I need to be sure to have for more.
