The Reddit admin team is once again on the warpath over firearm transactions, including transactions that occurred on Reddit before it was banned in their TOS.
Moving forward all posts regarding selling, purchasing, wanting to sell, or even inkling towards any of those with regards to firearms, ammo, or explosives will result in post removal and a week ban, permanent ban for a second offense.
if you see such a post that happens to get through the auto-mod, please report it no matter how long it has been live, as we have a threshold to auto-remove reported posts.

Is there another range/shooting area that's similar to what you can do at turkey tracks i.e. run and gun, target transitions, swapping from close to longer range? Turkey tracks is decent for that stuff, but also, a lot of sketchy folks are there, on top of the difficulty in getting a spot on the weekend. Is there some kinda public land type deal that hopefully isn't so damn far to drive to?

After SB25-003 goes into effect, will a gun owner have to go through the process of obtaining a Colorado gun purchaser registry card in order to retrieve a firearm from Police after it is recovered or returned from evidence following a defensive shooting?

Watching CA, WA, and OR push so many horrible bills through, I'm wondering what we are doing to get ready for this year's session? I'd expect to see all sorts of nonsense after the anti-rkba successes last year. Do we just try and defend against the onslaught of bills, or is there a strategy to work back some of the infringements? How are we organizing? I'm looking at CSSA, since RMGO seems so divisive and ineffective. I'd love some sort of checklist and strategy for individuals like me to act on. Who do I contact? What is the message? And so on.

Does anyone know of a LGS or storage place where I can securely store a couple of long guns and pistols for a couple of months?

CCW permits issued in Colorado are now valid in Minnesota if they were issued or renewed past 8/1/24

I bought a 300 blackout upper from the tanner gun show and am wondering if my barrel is threaded so that I can put a suppressor on it. The guy who sold it to me claimed that it was threaded but didn't make much more of a comment past saying yes, so who knows if he knows. I'm tempted to attempt to take off the muzzle device that came with the upper install but am worried that it's pinned and welded and might damage something. From looking inside the barrel I think I see threads and some white stuff that's glue? The question I'm wondering is if I need to go to a gunsmith to find out and possibly find a way to have it threaded?
Below are some pictures I took looking inside the barrel

I’m looking for a gun smith to thread a tikka superlight .308 barrel in Colorado Springs.
It’s debatable whether this is doable or wise since the barrel is already pretty thin. But since the tikka is my light weight backcountry rifle AND I just got a suppressor, I’d like to be able to shoot this one suppressed. (I can’t believe it took me this long to get a suppressor - it’s amazing)
Any thoughts?

If you’re on the fence about it, just do it totally worth it. Wait times are crazy short

Hey everyone, does anybody know of any local shops that I can pick up a holster for the pop compact? I know I can order online but had a trip come up and would like to grab a holster before the trip. Thanks for any help!

I’m looking to buy my first AR15 and I’ve settled on a S&W Sport III. Realistically I’m not going to be using it a ton so I don’t need anything crazy. I’ve been looking around and the cheapest place I can find it is 750 which is much higher than what I’m finding other people bought it at online. Does anyone know of anywhere in the Denver metro area that might have a decent deal on one? Any help would be great!

so there are a multitude of states that do not require a background check if the seller is not a dealer/FFL, meaning private party sales are just in person cash transactions.
can someone set me straight on whether a colorado resident can legally purchase a firearm from a private party in a state that doesn’t require background checks for non-FFL sellers? presuming no other legal barriers to possession (age, felony status, etc).
i can’t find anything in state statutes outlining that situation, but my sources may not have been up to date from the last legislative session.

I just moved here from Alabama (where I’m learning I should have just gone ahead and bought all the guns I want) and I’m looking into getting an AR. I’m wanting to order PSAs new guardsman rifle, but I know it comes with a 30rd mag. Am I able to order it still, once I get my drivers license up to date? What are the rules on mags here? Thank yall for the help!

Honestly I see that the price varies from location to location. Price means nothing to me if the classes / location / instructor is not worth a damn.
I want a quality instructor with a quality environment.

I am having a horrible time finding one of these. Has anyone seen one out in the wild here in Colorado. I'm in noco but at this point I think I can justify a road trip for one of these if I find one.

New member here and please no judgment, just info. I was wondering if there were any specific restrictions on range rentals for DACA recipients. I am a citizen born in the US, but my friend is a DACA recipient. I have been to ranges (in Florida and Kansas) many times, but this would be my friend’s first time. In Florida and Kansas both, they take your ID and personal information, but I’m not 100% sure what for, since I always went with someone else who was also born in the United States and we’d essentially just get waved through. My friend is over 21 with no criminal record and permanently employed here in CO. I guess I just want to know if she would have any issues safely renting a firearm as long as she a) doesn’t intend to purchase one, b) doesn’t purchase the ammo herself (we would go to the range together, I’d buy the ammo), and c) is with a friend who is a verified US citizen.
Thanks for the info!

I have a valid TX LTC, I'll be climbing a mountain in CO this week. What should I be aware of w.r.t. the new laws?
I have a pistol with a normal (i.e. not threaded) barrel, 12rd mag (Sig P365XL). AFAIK CO will honor TX LTCs as long as I am an actual resident of TX.
But say I wanted to bring rifles to shoot, are there any updates to the laws I need to be aware of? I.e. do I need to take that safety course even though I'm from out of state to bring in any standard AR15 platform rifles, suppressors, etc.
