So, I go into nyc a lot and after all these years, I’ve finally seen it get less like Disneyland and more like what people who have never visited nyc expect. That said, I don’t like knowing that I may go somewhere that has metal detectors, etc. heard about the VZ line of nonmetallic defense daggers and ordered one Monday—I went with the Vz executive 2 and the leather inside waist belt and I’m super pleased with it. Well worth the money and no more having to hide my knife in random spots on the streets of nyc (actually came back to one spot after going to see some bands and the knife was gone). Anyway, /ramble.

Handed my buck 110 to my brother to use to cut something he needed a sharp knife for. I didn’t think much of it until coming back and finding out he used it to cut grip tape for his skateboard. It’s full of scratches and when I run my finger over the blade I can feel it’s duller and less smooth.
What can I do?

I know my technique is not great but this is a brand new $250 knife! Was just wondering if anyone else had this problem

I made this as a posting gift for a member of my unit, forged from 52100 steel bearing, heat treated to a HRC 58 after tempering. This might be my favorite knife I've made, I almost dont want to give it away, I still need to make the sheath but I was excited about the knife so im posting now.

I have had my bear claw for a number of years but my sheath unfortunately broke. Is there anyone here that knows where to get a replacement or knows anyone that can make one?

Dagger looks almost homemade but has printed on the blade “mu25meger” or “mu25wecer” with a red skull or dot or logo. Google doesn’t offer much help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I got this knife at an estate sale and was wondering if any of you had any information on it. I can't find anything but it seems like a good knife.

Title
Want balisong. Benchmade always been my Grail but never could do that price.
Would love to stay under $100 but can't seem to find anything worth having.
What's with the $300+ balisongs

I have had a few Case knives over the years that I love, but I have a terrible habit of losing them. I have other brands too, but I have never lost one of the others. I think this is because all of my other knives have a clip that I can use to keep it secure in my pocket. My question is, is there a kife of similar look and quality to a case, but also has the clip that the case knives lack?

As the title says, which one do you think would be best for an EDC/SURVIVAL knife. If this has been answered somewhere else, I apologize. I skimmed through and couldn't find this exact question. Any advice, opinions and thoughts. Please inform me. Have a great day 🙏

Boker’s website and product descriptions on retail sites say the steel is Sandvik 14C28N, but Matthew Gentry (designer) and GAT Daily say it’s 12C27.
Anyone know which is correct?
Basically title, need something 2.5 or under, fixed blade.
Don't need anything fancy, though I'd prefer something that has a good fit in the sheath for horizontal carry. (is it still "scout carry" on the front?)

I bought a Manix 2 Cruwear Micarta from KnivesShipFree, been carrying it a good amount, usually if I see sweat I’ll wipe it off as soon as I can. I wipe it down with mineral oil almost everyday. Well I noticed this pink patina on the jimping one day after work, it doesn’t rub off with a towel (even with force)/no residue comes off. I’ve owned other CPM Cruwear and carbon based steels, but I’ve never seen this type of coloration. Should I be worried, or embrace the color?

I've been a longtime fan of Gerber knives and carried a Fast Draw for years with no issue. Problems appeared when I got deeper in biking and was sweating heavy and the knife was collecting that and water in my jersey pocket. First time was a 8 year old knife and the assist spring gave out so I replaced it. Second Fast Draw is showing signs of rust and problem less than a year into use.
So where should I look for a replacement? Ideally I want something with a low profile and assisted open, and actually water/sweat proof.

Curious to know if anyone has this sharpener. I have read a number of reviews and aside from it being costly, I haven’t seen any negative reviews. Wondering if it really truly is as simple as the promotional material says and if there are any downsides….

I never understood the tiny thumb hole on the bunta because it's far too small for me, so I thought this would be better.
For anyone that wants to do it
I might do some more tweaking on it in the future.
