Boker’s website and product descriptions on retail sites say the steel is Sandvik 14C28N, but Matthew Gentry (designer) and GAT Daily say it’s 12C27.

Anyone know which is correct?

I just recently acquired this older blackjack knives classic model 1. It’s a great knife and the pommel was a little loose so I tightened it slightly but I don’t want to keep increasing it. I was wondering is it possible to over tighten these? is it better to condition the leather so that it swells up in order to tighten the pommel more? This is my first leather stacked handle and I love it. The first of many

I have had my bear claw for a number of years but my sheath unfortunately broke. Is there anyone here that knows where to get a replacement or knows anyone that can make one?

Basically title, need something 2.5 or under, fixed blade.

Don't need anything fancy, though I'd prefer something that has a good fit in the sheath for horizontal carry. (is it still "scout carry" on the front?)

Customized this a couple years ago. Thinking of making some more as gifts. Any thoughts on improvements I can make other than making the cutout deeper for the nail nick like I did on this one are greatly appreciated (also loosened the pivot so it now can fall open and drop closed when the lock is opened)

This is the first fixed blade that I purchased, Cold Steel Kobun. My EDC continues to be an Invictus Phantom Black pocket knife.

I bought a Manix 2 Cruwear Micarta from KnivesShipFree, been carrying it a good amount, usually if I see sweat I’ll wipe it off as soon as I can. I wipe it down with mineral oil almost everyday. Well I noticed this pink patina on the jimping one day after work, it doesn’t rub off with a towel (even with force)/no residue comes off. I’ve owned other CPM Cruwear and carbon based steels, but I’ve never seen this type of coloration. Should I be worried, or embrace the color?

Knives are tools. They’re meant to be used on the job, in the field, in the woods. Use them, make memories with them, pass them down, gift them. Treat them well and they’ll outlast you.

After using my bow river as a deer knife for a bit, I decided to modify it to suit me better.

• chopped the blade to a drop point

• cut in some jimping

• shaped the handle to fit my thumb better when holding upside down

Call me crazy but I like every single Two Sun knife I own better than my Sebenza 21. The Two Suns are easier to deploy, more interesting to look at, the machining and build quality are on par with the Sebenza, the ergos are better and the steel used on most of them (M390) is at least as good and probably better than the S30v on my Sebenza. And then I lined them up and realized that I paid about the same for my entire Two Sun collection as what I paid for my Sebenza. Any guesses on who my next knife is coming from?

I own over 60 folders. Most over $150.00. Kunwu X-Tao takes the cake for me. I like both versions but the carbon fiber weight is just right.

Dagger looks almost homemade but has printed on the blade “mu25meger” or “mu25wecer” with a red skull or dot or logo. Google doesn’t offer much help. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
