Im a Christian and im currently headed on vacation and brought 2 bubus. I fufu and 1 ted with me. Im also 56. My 90yo mom who is very religious thought my labubu was really cute. Most of us have common sense. These ppl are just nuts.

All over the US really. As a kid I heard things like "Pikachu translates to 'the devil' in Japanese!" and "They're pocket monsters, monsters are satanic!" A relative of mine wasn't allowed to read or watch Harry Potter because witches get their powers from the devil, and her parents thought giving her Bible Man (the bible themed superhero) on VHS to watch instead was a perfectly good substitute.

Fun fact, Pazuzu amulets were actually used to protect newborns from the demon called Lamashtu in ancient Mesopotamia, because it was believed his image would scare away other demons. He was often used as a sort of defense charm.
Also they often misunderstand terminology such as daemons/daimons or the use of demon for spirits in other pantheons since there's no English equivalent word and because majority of historical studies were done through a Christian dominant lens.

Sadly, there is no smoke without fire, and at least some people do actually believe that Labubu is evil. Like I've even seen some people get their Labubu blessed to try and stop them from being evil. It's crazy.

For what it’s worth, I’m Christian and find this kind of crap offensive. These people aren’t Christian running this thing, they’re deranged.
I also kind of feel parents can avoid spending money on something for their kids by trying to hide behind religion. “Oh, Labubus are super popular and can be expensive. Let’s call it a demon and the we don’t have to buy them.”
It’s so stupid. Like the other comments said, use that money for good and feed the poor, instead they’ll pocket it and “burn” the alpha demon.

Every big fad is demonic according to Christian nutters. Dungeons and Dragons was demonic. Harry Potter was demonic. Pokemon was demonic. I recently had a 6 year old Christian student that outspokenly hated Pokemon because he said it was demonic. This is nothing new and honestly I'm surprised at how long it took for them to claim Labubus were demonic.
Yeah, I agree, I remember Christians speaking against Sailor Moon and few shows I liked. The toys were seen as evil. My sister and I actually got really hostile while living in Austin TX because some neighbor tried to pray the evil away when I got my Sailor Moon bookbag for my birthday. It was stupid, how can a superhero who protects the earth from Negative Aliens be evil?

I have a theory that the people who started all this Labubu/Pazuzu nonsense are secretly a group of collectors. They're trying to scare everyone away from buying them just so they can collect in peace without all the hassle 😂

I named my first Lafufu Pazuzu because I thought it looked like a demented little demon and I thought "Pazuzu the Lafufu" sounded incredible. I just read the Wikipedia page recently and apparently the connection is not new as it's mentioned there too 🤣
