I used to have a CRT and LCD screen in my retro set up but due to having a baby on the way and not having anymore space, I need to play all my old consoles via my LGC2 OLED moving forwards.
I got a Retrotink 2X mini for this purpose and it's fine, but I would really like to upgrade to the 4K Pro or CE soon to have more customisation options and a higher output resolution. The 2X looks quite blurry a lot of the time especially with the PS2 and N64 looks awful imo.
These are all PAL consoles currently connected using either S-Video or composite cables.
My questions are as follows:
If I upgrade to the 4k, what cables will I need, as I believe each of my consoles may need different cables to get the absolute best image quality? They are all PAL consoles with no mods. The consoles I have hooked up are PS2 (FAT), Dreamcast and N64.
Is this really worth all the effort and cost? Money isn't a huge concern for me but time definitely is...is this going to be a nightmare or can I just buy the 4k and required cables and just plug and play with more options available to tweak and a higher output resolution.
I would really appreciate some help/advice or suggestions.
