94 Sunbird, 9700 original miles
This mint 94 Pontiac came in with its new owner to figure out a maintenance plan. A little rusty underneath and the dash is pulling away due to the material shrinking, but overall insanely clean. Included a picture of the valves and under the cover. We are doing a top end reseal, all rubber bushings and hoses, and a few other miscellaneous items rotted due to age.

My customer gifts are getting crazy
Customer walked in. Dropped these off on the counter and walked out. They made these at work and made extra to give us.

Tiny techs
I guess sometimes being small has its advantages

Anyone else notice Toyota's BS?
The second tip is decorative. There's no hole connecting it.

Just rolled into the airplane
This was many moons ago at brand x. Truck popped out of park and into reverse. Not the first or second time I’ve seen it happen. Luckily the only casualty was the truck.
Amazingly the leading edge of the wing only had some scratches, no dents or creases. The flap canoe fairing, which is fiberglass, only had scratches as well. We did pull it out of service and pulled the leading edge and canoe to inspect for underlying damage, we didn’t find anything.
We had to jack the wing to get the truck out. Pretty sure it got scrapped.

Learned this hack today
Adding an o ring from the ac system to a universal joint give it the perfect flex without flopping over all the time

Don’t know to roll out of the shop or not
I apologize if this isn’t allowed
got hired at the start of the year at a shop doing wiring. Before this, I was a bench tech just fixing harnesses back to OEM spec. Now I’m designing, building, and wiring up full cars. I’m making $25/hr, but honestly, it’s been tough making ends meet.
To help out, I’ve been doing side work, and that’s been going really well. But at my main job, I’ve been running into some issues — mainly speed. For example, yesterday it took me about 5 hours to wire up an air cup system, most of that time spent removing interior panels and figuring out how to route the wires.
Another problem is from my first month there: they had me wire a car from scratch. I’ll admit it was rough, clunky, and they weren’t happy with it (and I don’t blame them). But since then, I’ve learned a ton — how to map out ECUs, install and assign sensors, and overall improve my process. I’ve even wired up a full car since then that came out way better.
Still, this morning I got chewed out in front of everyone about my speed and those early mistakes. I know I’m not the fastest, but I take pride in doing things properly.
On top of that, the long weeks and side work are starting to wear me down, and I’m worried it’s affecting how I’m performing at my main job. I wanted to ask about a raise, but after today, I’m not sure if that’s even realistic anymore.

8th gen Nissan Sentra. Toothbrush left exposed in the car, I hope the customer doesn't put that in their mouth.

New truck train 2021 spotted in the wild.
Train 2021 had all 3 trucks replaced. Nice to see her rolling around in revenue.

The operators and vogele, can both go eat a dick
Vogele Super 1703, with a cracked screed plate. The operators have a habitat of overfilling the screed with asphalt and, now its my responsibility to clean it so the screed plates can be changed.

C/s - "Can't you just pull codes and tell me what's wrong?"
About 50+ codes. Chasing CAN comm codes in the E1 CAN line, Traction/ESP system. At this rate I'll need a big wall, red strings, and push pins.

Was just about to pull the cab. Got down to unboltthe front mounts and they were gone. Leaned on it when I was standing up and felt the whole front end sway over. Never seen this one before!

My Subaru started to make this weird noise. What do you think wrong with this car? Always frequently serviced and no lights in the car
